The context of this message is for women who have a low body fat percentage and need to be in a surplus of calories in order to build muscle and increase their strength gains in the gym.
The other is for those who have lost a bunch of weight and keep trying to keep themself in a forever deficit.
So ask yourself:
Is it really that difficult to get in calories? If so, you can choose more calorie dense foods. Such as adding in oils, dressings, fruit drinks, ice cream, etc.
OR
Are you actually afraid that eating more will make you gain weight. If you aren’t comfortable with being in a surplus or even a maintenance of calories….. eventually you will plateau and will see diminishing returns after awhile here. Not only that, but possible injuries from lack of nourishment from the body underperforming while trying to over perform in the weight room. So whats going to be more important to you?
