Bench Press Wrist Position

I see postings everywhere on the internet of how wrist position should be neutral and I have to say I just dont agree with it. Ive never seen any highly competitive powerlifter bench press with a neutral grip. It should slightly be bent back in order to keep the boney part of your palm and wrist stacked over your elbow and shoulder when holding the barbell—which is then properly aligned this way—a straight line. Stacks on stacks on stacks. The barbell shouldnt be too high in your hand or completely cocked back or else it can cause wrist discomfort and wrist pain. We dont want it on the meaty part, but the boney part. We also dont want the wrist completely neutral as commonly suggested all over the internet. This brings the bar slightly in front and is not your strongest most efficient position. A bench with a neutral grip would be difficult to support over time with heavy loads. Keep your wrist slightly bent back so it sits on that boney part. Try it for yourself. Experiment and let me know which felt best.
