You didn’t necessarily lose weight because you avoided an entire food group. You lost it because you created a calorie deficit. Principles stay. Systems forever change depending on who is selling what to you. Again, the principle will never change. I say this ALL the time.
Look, food awareness is something I go over with my clients. If you dont learn it, then you will forever be jumping from diet to diet. I like for clients to make to develop autonomy and learn basic nutrition that correlates with their lifestyle. Obviously a managed lifestyle that can still give you a little food freedom while getting to your goal.
