FOOT ANCHORING: THE FOOT TRIPOD
.
.
Anchoring/gripping your feet to the ground is often overlooked especially when seeing hip, knee, and ankle issues as problems can lie in the feet itself. Your feet is the start and foundation of everything. A stable foot helps build a stable ankle. A stable ankle helps build a stable knee. A stable knee helps build a stable hip. It builds on top of each other. Which is why I go over feet a lot with my clients even though it can be boring. Learning how to anchor your feet to build tension will help make all the exercises you do a million times stable which translates to a stronger position. A stronger position means the more you can load over time. Which who doesnt want to lift a fuck ton of more weight? If you dont youre following the wrong account. .
.
.
“Grabbing your toes” to the floor especially the big toe will create tension throughout the entire leg which will assist in proper tracking of ankle, knee, and hip. The more your body can work together as one unit the stronger you are the the more forceful/powerful you can be.
